Permian Wins District Home Opener

The Lady Panthers and Bronchos met center court prior to the match for a sign of unity.  Once action began, Permian swept Odessa High in three (25-15, 25-22, 25-21) in Tuesday’s 2-6A home opener at the PHS Fieldhouse.

Lauren Lucas led Permian in kills with 14, while Bethanie Fierro had seven and Nyxalee Munoz had six. Fierro also had four blocks and Lucas had three.  Makenzie Watson had a solid evening contributing 30 assists.

Natalia Abila finished with 15 digs, with Lucas adding 13 and Julie Franco adding 10. Lucas led in aces with three.  The Lady Panthers play Midland Lee on Friday in Midland.
