GILLIAN HERRERA
Coach Herrera enters her 12th year as the Lady Panthers Head Volleyball Coach. Under her leadership, Permian has made state playoff appearances in five of the last seven years. For 19 years now, she has taught English and coached volleyball, basketball, and softball at Permian. She is a 2000 graduate of Greenwood HS, where she lettered in volleyball, basketball, softball, and track. She attended Howard College on a softball scholarship. Coach Herrera then transferred to Texas Tech, where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise and Sports Sciences with an English minor. In 2018, she earned a Masters Degree in Sports Management from Texas Women’s University. In 202, Herrera was promoted to Girls Athletic Coordinator. She is married to John and they have two sons – Jordan (5) and Jameson (2). |
ROBERT WILLS
Varsity assistant coach Wills has taught math and coached volleyball for 41 years. He graduated from Texas Tech and the University of Texas of the Permian Basin. Coach Wills is married to wife Lisa and they have two children – Andy and Sara, and two grandsons – Austin and Malakai. |
CHRISTINA GARCIA
Coach Garcia is entering her fifth year coaching at Permian and has been with ECISD for 10 years. She is a graduate of Fort Stockton HS. Coach Garcia has a Bachelors degree in Kinesiology from UTPB. She is married and has three grown children and three grandchildren. |
DALYLA MIRANDA
Coach Miranda is debuting in her first year of coaching and teaching at Permian. She is a graduate of Permian – Class of 2018. In May 2024, she graduated from UT-Permian Basin with a Bachelor of Science in Human Performance with a concentration in coaching. |
BREK PAZ
Coach Paz is entering her fourth year as a teacher and coach at Permian. She is a Mojo graduate of 2010. Brek played soccer at Angelo State University and later transferred to UTPB, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Biology degree with a minor in Psychology. In 2019, Brek obtained her Master of Science Management Degree in Business Analytics from Abilene Christian University. |
